RAMESH DAGA is a traveller, foodie, photographer and has also pursued a career in Business Management in Indian companies.
My attraction to photography was sparked at the age of ten when my maternal uncle gifted me his old Kodak Baby Brownie Camera. I used this till I was fourteen.
After entering university, graduating and starting a career, for nearly fifteen years the camera was forgotten. I did not carry a camera on our honeymoon!!
In 1970 I bought an used Canonet QL 1.9 camera and on my first overseas trip took a lot of pictures in Europe and USA on Kodak Ektachrome slide films. The passion with photography grew.
My job offered opportunities to travel with in India and overseas. I visited 70 countries between 1970 to 2018. I progressed with hardware and have used an Olympus OM 4, Minolta SRT 7 and finally graduated to Nikon where I now use a full frame D 750. I have benefitted with expertise of professional photographers with whom I have done location shoots in several parts of the world.
After retiring from my professional career I have pursued my passion for travel and photography. I , and my wife Radha, are fortunate to have found a group of friends who share our passion for travel . The support of these friends has been invaluable in visiting exotic destinations and the result has been this large collection of photos from all over the world.
The focus in the website is to bring to you the beauty one can see in Nature. The smiles and beauty of People and the magnificence of edifices men have built over centuries.
I live in Chennai, India.
Hope you are encouraged to pack a bag and travel.
